Pickens County Information Guide
COVID-19 PCLS Library Plan – Updated June 1 – Until Further Notice
Due to concerns related to the spread of Covid-19 (Cornonavirus), the safety of the public, and the vulnerable populations we serve, all branches of The Pickens County Library will be closed to the public until further notice.
The Drive Thru at the Easley and Central-Clemson locations will be open Monday-Friday 9am-5pm and Saturday 10am-2pm. Curbside Services will be offered at the Pickens and Liberty locations Monday-Friday, 9am – 5pm. Assistance to patrons will also be provided via virtual library services, telephone, and chat at all branches Monday-Friday 9am-5pm and Saturday 10am-2pm. Overdrive Ebooks and Audiobooks, as well as Flipster magazines, and Tumblebooks can still be downloaded 24/7 and Wi-Fi services at all of the branches will remain on 24/7.
Patrons will not incur fines on materials during this time, and holds on materials will not expire. Equipment and Adventure passes as well as all other library materials may be returned via our bookdrops at any library location.
Our focus is to provide as much assistance to the public as possible while adhering to social distancing recommendations and limiting contact. If you have questions about any of our virtual services do not hesitate to contact us at the numbers below:

Other steps we are taking to prevent the spread of COVID-19 include:
- Suspending all “House Calls” visits
- Suspending all “Book-A-Librarian” and “Book-A-Historian” appointments
- Cancelling all library programming (we hope to publish some of the programs online via YouTube and Facebook live, please check in with us on Facebook about virtual programming)
- Suspending all Outreach programming
- Canceling all room reservations, and suspending room requests
- No volunteers will be scheduled to work at the library during this time
- The Library Board meeting scheduled for Thursday, March 19th at 6pm at the Sarlin Library in Liberty has been cancelled.
- All VITA Tax Assistance appointments are cancelled at this time, those with appointments should contact Jeremy Price at United Way to make arrangements: 864-850-7094 ext. 133
This plan may change due to further developments related to the virus in Pickens County or recommendations made by local and/or national health and safety organizations.
