Teen Advisory Board

What is it?

A group of teens who meet once a month to discuss what they’re reading, what they’d like to see at the library, or just hang out. Members get to have a hands-on role in making the library a more fun place to hang out! Have a great idea for a program? Know of a great book series that you think the library should carry? The Teen Advisory Board is the place to let us know!

Who can join?

Any teen, aged 12-18, currently enrolled in middle or high school.

What are the benefits?

Members get to help create library programming specifically for teens, earn volunteer hours, meet other teens who love to read, and suggest new titles that the library should carry.

What is expected of me?

Teen Advisory Board Members are expected to regularly attend and participate in monthly meetings. There may be optional meetings, in addition to the regular monthly meetings, to work on projects created by the TAB. Members are expected to miss no more than two consecutive meetings, and to abide by the library code of conduct while in the library.

How do I join?

Fill out an application below. The teen librarian will contact you with details about upcoming meetings.

Don’t have time to fill out the application or just want to see what it’s about before joining? Feel free to drop in on our meetings! An application can be provided when you visit.

We meet on the third Tuesday of each month at 5:00pm at the Hampton Memorial Library in Easley.
